Went back and sat the afternoon in the same spot only to have one of the guys in camp sitting in a ladder stand 70 yards behind me. I got up and moved a ledge lower so I was safe from any gunshots down the mountain. About 20 minutes after I sat i looked up from texting a friend and had two does 20 yds away looking right at me...Busted! They took off and I texted my friend to tell him they were heading his way. I looked up again and another doe was standing in the same spot...she didn't see me. After the 7th doe came out all in single file moving up the mountain I scoped a nice buck and three shots later and a brief bloodtrail I wound up with this guy!!! Nov 21 - Greene County ~johnnyLaw

Ever hear the song Second Chance by Shindown? Great song! Took a shot the afternoon before at this guy. He was on the move chasing 4 does. He stopped giving me a very skinny (maybe 2 inch) lane between trees. In my nervousness I gambled and took the shot only to nick one of the trees. The buck ran away no harm done, other than to my pride. The next morning as I sat in my tree, 7:20 here he comes again! I was quite surprised! I got myself hunched down, braced up and shot him 40 yards out, rear quartering through the stomach, liver and right lung. He ran 120 yards and went to deer heaven. Thank the good Lord for another awesome day in the field.

This is my cousin in texas. She saw a big doe get squished by a van. She got out
and found this little booger by the roadside standing nearby. She took it
home and he's now the luckiest deer in texas! ~elmerFudd
